Medical detox treatment in an inpatient facility can be drastically different from the safe space experience that InHome Recovery creates. Treatment plans are different, rules and regulations are different, and the overall environment is different. Let’s zoom in on both for a moment.
Inpatient Treatment
Inpatient stays at a facility typically run from 30-90 days depending on the program and what your insurance will pay for. Even with insurance, lengthy inpatient stays can be costly. Upon arrival, you will most likely enter what the field calls a “blackout period” where your phone and other electronic devices will be taken away, normally for 7 days. After that, you will have very limited access each week to make calls. Some facilities will only let you call family members in the presence of a therapist or clinical associate. The first week is detox, and then you’ll be moved to community living with others like you. You won’t have control over your schedule, the facility runs the show. You’ll be busy doing groups, meetings, and recovery exercises.
InHome Treatment
We offer medication-assisted treatment at home to guide you through the detoxification process. Since we are guests in your home, you are free to do whatever you like with your electronics, and you’re free to have whoever you want to accompany you and comfort you in this phase of your life. While our medical team assists you with detox, your recovery coach will work with you to develop a plan for what happens in the future. It may involve an outpatient program, it may not. But one thing’s for sure, you will be involved in the decision process.
It’s your life journey. You call the shots with InHome Recovery.
