After Detox

You’ve heard us say it before- detox is only the beginning of your recovery journey. Whether you’re exploring Nashville drug rehab at a facility or drug detox at home, it’s important to have a plan in place once you’ve finished going through withdrawal. If you decide to work with our InHome Recovery team, your personal recovery coach will help develop an aftercare plan for you. Here are some of the options you should look into post-detox:

Inpatient Treatment

If you’re in a bad place and need to get away from all your friends, family, and society, or else you might immediately relapse, inpatient treatment may be the way to go. This is where you travel to a facility either locally or regionally for a minimum 30-day stay, if not longer. You will be isolated from the outside world to focus only on your recovery full time, 24 hours a day.

Intensive Outpatient Treatment

IOP programs are a step down from inpatient treatment. Instead of going to a facility to live full time, you may just go there for several hours a day for treatment work and then go home. This allows you to maintain your normal work hours and stay connected with your family life.

Therapy

This is a big one. Regardless of what path you choose for extended treatment, therapy should be a part of the process. There are many forms to choose from, such as trauma therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and group therapy. Working on the underlying traumas beneath your addiction issues is absolutely crucial to living a healthy and spiritual life in recovery.
